Just now getting back to normal after Nate was sick with a stomach bug for SEVEN looooooong days.
At Nate's request, I won't go into the horrific tales of the copious amounts of diarrhea topped off with random vomiting. You're welcome.
Loving my sporty little man
(I'm going to do my damnedest to be paci-free by Christmas. Tips/advice welcome.)
Amanda called on Sunday to see if we wanted to take a hike over at First Landing State Park. We took a nice 3.1 mile trail. I was impressed with Nate - he walked a good long while. We had lots of fun. (Although after walking 4 miles that morning with some friends, I did feel crippled the next day.)
Such joy!
Hey, wait up!
I like Amanda's face in this one! :) hehe
So what have you been up to?

Oh...and Happy Birthday to you!
NICE.
I forgot to even look at the pictures I took. I'll upload sometime...this weekend maybe.
Dude.
On the paci front, I hear you.
I'm going to try what one of my friends did. She told her daughter that the paci needed to live over the rainbow and bought her a helium balloon, had her tie the paci to the balloon and say good-bye and let it go. Then when her daughter asked for her paci should could remind her that she sent her paci to live over the rainbow.
I might choose a different story since I've got the BOY and he might see rainbows as not manly enough. But he loves love LOVES a balloon, so I'm going to try to incorporate that somehow.
Do you have any friends that have babies? We told William that we needed to give all his chewies (pacifiers) to baby Savannah (born in June) because she was a baby and she needed them and he was a big boy and he didn't. They are for the new babies now. He found one that we missed and he keeps it in his bed still and holds it. I'm ok with that but the whole giving-it-to-the-new-babies thing worked well. He was 2.5, though.
