Digital Scrapbooking - Take 1

Amanda gave me my first digital scrapbooking lesson last night. I was extremely tired when I got home, but couldn't wait to give it a try. It's nothing fancy and I strive for more but truly the subject matter is so freakin' adorable that you can't argue that it's not cute! Here's my first attempt - Michelle and Molly...

nate's big brother

Bosco got a surprise in the mail today! We opened the package and Michelle sent him a new t-shirt. Here he is modeling...

How flippin' cute is that? Thanks Aunt Shell!

Smile.

Amanda is big into digital scrapbooking and she always finds the cutest things. I love this picture with Molly and Jill so I asked Amanda if she could create a masterpiece for me. It's perfect!

Making room for baby...

I am so happy today! Michelle gave me her changing table when I was in OKC so we took it apart and wrapped up in cardboard for the flight home. I'm so thrilled because I love the table and I'm also excited that it made it to VA at no cost and with no damage (thanks NWA!).

So, I'm quite proud of myself because I put it together myself today. I have been so anxious to get some baby stuff in the room that I've been a little tweaky. So about 20 minutes into the process, after a phone call to Michelle and a light bulb going off in my head, I was able to visualize how I needed to put it together. I didn't remember it looking very difficult when we took it apart yesterday. So here are some pictures of the finished changing table.

Here are more pictures - fully loaded. We've decided to be smart and Mike's been buying formula and diapers every time he goes to Wal-Mart. You can never have enough of either! Also, I'm so happy that Michelle sent me home with lots of toys for Nate. I've loaded them up on top of the table.
Also, we've picked paint colors for the room and we're going to use red as our accent color. Mom and Dad gave us their red chair and I love it! Here's a picture of the chair with the baby comforter. Yea!
Here's my "I'm proud of myself" picture, which is also my "I'm ecstatic that the room is finally coming together" picture. Cheese!

Trip to OKC

I had a wonderful (yet short) trip to Oklahoma over the weekend. Molly turned 3 on Sunday, and we had a great party for her. Friends, family, pizza, cake, and ice cream - does it get much better than that? I got lots of pictures of the birthday girl, but yesterday as we headed to the airport I realized we hadn't got any pictures together... So, we sat in our "usual" seats in the airport to pose for some pictures! Here's our requisite self-taken group photo! It's not a trip without one of those!

So in just a little over 2 days, we got in a trip to the mall (which included Molly pooping on the potty in a public place!!), a birthday party, a trip to Robbie's house to meet baby Jack, On the Border for dinner and a margarita, late nights, girl talk, games, a trip to Braum's for a double dip hot fudge sundae- the best fudge EVER - and tons of pictures. Here are a few more...

I'm So Excited!

Only 4 more days and I'll be in OKC! I'm so grateful that I can still make a quick vacation out to see my sister Michelle and my nieces Jill and Molly. Once I bought the new biz I resigned myself to not making the trip... I wasn't sure I could justify a vacation so soon after starting my new business. Lo and behold - no clients scheduled for the weekend and Monday is a holiday so my weekday clients will be home instead of at work. It really couldn't have worked out better.

Molly's 3rd birthday is on Sunday and it'll be the first birthday party I've been there for. She is so flippin' cute I can't stand it!

I'm so looking forward to seeing all my girls. This is the longest I've EVER been without seeing Michelle... it's been over a year. That's just not acceptable to me. So, I'm going to make the best out of the short time I'm there. I plan to keep everyone up for 72 hours straight just so I can soak up every single minute with them! On second thought, that sounds like a recipe for crankiness and everyone dreading Aunt Amy visiting in the future!

Stayed tuned for pics!

Today's the day!

As of today, I am official owner of Prissy Paws Pet Sitting! I am very excited. I'm surprisingly not nervous or stressed. I'm going to play it by ear and do my best to make this a fun and successful career. I just keeping thinking of all the possibilities... and it gives me a good feeling.

Thanks to Diane for giving me first option to buy Prissy Paws. It means a lot to me that you gave me such a good endorsement... it's comforting to your clients too and I hope to make this a smooth, easy transition for them and their animals.

Special thanks to Sallie. I love knowing that I can ask you any question or run something by you and you always have an answer or an idea. Nothing is better than having a friend in the biz. Thanks!

Thanks to my DH Mike who has been so supportive through all of this, including my mini panic attacks, etc. :) It's going to be great for us!

I'm So Proud!

We got Alex's grades in the mail on Monday and can I tell you how proud I am? VERY!! She got straight A's and she is ranked number 3 in her class!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not surprised. She is such a smart girl and has always done well in school. I just want to share my mom's pride with everyone and brag about my girl! :)
